An exciting collaboration that combines the worlds of tea and art in an imaginative breadth.
Tea is more than just a drink - it is an elegant appreciation for nature, wellness, culture, and culinary art. For a tea connoisseur like me, it becomes a ritual that awakens my senses or calms my mood, but always capturing a moment of genuine comfort. I have an entire cabinet of teas and teaware from a few of my favorite brands that are the best in the world of tea and recently, I was able to collaborate with a brand I've favored for years: TEALEAVES, the luxury tea blender that is the leading purveyor of tea to five-star hotels and Michelin chefs worldwide and to my humble home in Los Angeles.
TEALEAVES partnered with Pantone Color Institute for a first-of-its-kind collaboration, deemed #PaletteForYourPalate, by reinventing the tea experience through cocktail and culinary craft. This collaboration served as a muse to over 30 world-class chefs and mixologists at luxury resorts in America and Canada, who created their own exclusive recipe as a "feast for the eyes" inspired by the tea, color, and mood of the new Whole Leaf Pyramid Teabags. The new packaging was also co-created with Pantone to exhibit a whimsical interpretation of the tea in vibrant, watercolor designs.
The Andaz West Hollywood is the Los Angeles property that took part in this amazing campaign, so I visited their Riot House Restaurant to experience their unique TEALEAVES-infused cocktail. Their #PaletteForYourPalate cocktail, aptly named "Dreams of Sunset", is inspired by TEALEAVES Organic Vanilla Rooibos, Pantone 714C, and the mood of Imagination. With a delicious spread of market-to-table Californian fare, the cocktail is beautifully presented in a soft orange hue and gently delights the palate with an aromatic hint of vanilla rooibos and an imaginative blend of egg white foam and five spice powder. It truly is an elevated experience for the taste buds.
Visit #PaletteForYourPalate's online exhibit to see more of TEALEAVES x Pantone's unique creations across the continent, including recipes! Also, shop their Whole Leaf Pyramid Teabags here.
