I’m so happy to finally reveal one of my most exciting collaborations yet.
Banana Republic is a brand that I’ve looked up to for a wardrobe well-tailored and intellectually presentable without sacrificing style. When I needed to look neat back in my office days, I'd look for a blazer and skirt for work, but I’d also pick up a dress or two for the coming weekend; their clothes are so versatile for everyday life! That’s why I’m so thrilled to partner with Banana Republic for their Closet VIP Spring Campaign, which highlights a few statement pieces that belong in your wardrobe this season. As you all know, I’m a dress girl and this Floral Peplum Dress with its classic silhouette and bold, feminine print makes for a beautiful VIP addition to my dress rack. I shot with Banana Republic in the Floral Peplum Dress and styled it with silver heels, a nude bag, and their green sunnies, but now I’m going to share with you a couple of different ways I’ve seamlessly mixed this dressy statement piece into my own wardrobe, in addition to a couple of looks featuring some more of my favorite spring pieces from their latest collection.
And by the way, you can see my photo above on the storefront windows of almost every Banana Republic store in the nation and internationally! It's been such a thrill whenever a friend or dear reader sends me a picture from their local store; if you see one, snap a pic and tag or email me! Remember to include #itsbanana!

The cut of the Floral Peplum Dress is perfect for slipping a blouse or crisp collared shirt underneath for an ultra-feminine and playful vibe. I love this silk blouse with blouson sleeves because it adds a bit of drama, especially when you walk. I felt so glamorous and pretty while going to Sunday afternoon tea with my family at the London West Hollywood.
I can throw a blazer on just about any look, because I appreciate the sharp, sophisticated touch that’ll elevate an otherwise casual or minimal outfit. This seersucker blazer from Banana Republic is light and perfect for a breezy afternoon of meetings and showroom visits.
This sweater caught my eye because of its unique, textured polka-dot detail. It’s so fun and different! This particular visit to the Farmer’s Market was on a cool, overcast day, so I put on some cropped jeans (I love a frayed hem) and red heels to shop my favorite farm vendors. I was really inspired by the color red that day, so I bought some red rananculuses to compliment my home and to set the tone of my wardrobe and color for the week.
We could all use a sunny getaway this weekend, right? Kyle and I are a big fan of doing smaller, weekender vacations rather than a long, 2-week trip, because taking a break more often helps us recharge and regain inspiration. We’re thinking about an overnight roadtrip to Ojai soon and isn’t this airy striped dress just perfect for strolling through the vineyards?
Also, Banana Republic visited my home and we took a little tour of my closet on video! Watch below:
Let me know which of these looks is your favorite! A big thank you to Banana Republic for featuring me as part of the Closet VIP Spring Campaign and for partnering with me on this post. Don’t forget to follow them on Instagram (@bananarepublic) for more style inspiration and check out the latest from their collections in-stores and online.
One of my closest friends is getting married in a few weeks. I've been agonizing finding a dress for the wedding. Because of seeing your collaboration and that gorgeous floral peplum dress (and an in-store sale), I finally have a dress that I'm in love with! Thanks for the inspiration! Next thing to tackle: accessories (although that'll be much easier)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your sweet note!! I'm so glad you found and love the dress, it's definitely something I love having hanging in my closet ;) It'll be so perfect for the wedding, and brunch and a girls night out etc. For accessories, what I've found that really pops off, yet seamlessly blends with the jewel tones is rose gold jewelry! Try that out :)
Deleteseriously love your styling and your photos.
