A picturesque visit along the French Riviera.
Fast cars, big yachts, big cats doing well - the ostentatious parade of billionaires' play things barrages your first impressions as you exit old remnants of Gare de Monaco-Monte Carlo. It's easy to get swept in the wonderment of the exotic lifestyle that consumes the lustrous country, but navigate over to the old medieval village of Monaco-Ville that sits atop a majestic rock fortress. Narrow alleyways, tiny souvenir shops, Monegasque cafes and vibrant gold hues paint the rich heritage of the most charming principality in Monaco. Walk through the village to the grand Palais du Prince by 11:55AM and catch the traditional ceremony of Changing of the Guard. Note that the palace's serene peachy-pink was redecorated from its past yellow shade thanks to Princess Grace of Monaco. While a jaunt through Monte Carlo's legendary playground Hotel de Paris and Casino de Monte-Carlo is always a great people-watching scene and excuse to don your finest worthy of a Bond Girl, it's best served with a side of humility in revering ancient culture and the beauty of the Mediterranean Sea, even when it's dotted with mega yachts owned by the prince of Saudi Arabia.
These photos are amazing, thank you for sharing!
