It's a glorious feeling the moment you can start tapping into the coats and scarves that have been patiently waiting in the corner of your closet for its seasons to shine. This was taken before a spontaneous decision to make the beautiful, easy drive to Laguna Beach for dinner and after a bland day of gloom and weariness that I just had to snap out of.

It was like a switch in my brain that threw my legs over the bed to get me up and say "hey, a whole day without seeing sun and without brushing your hair is not ok."

So I naturally steered toward a kaleidoscope of colors to change the day around. There's no mood a hand-painted silk scarf can't cheer up. I love the print of this Rho scarf so much that I hang it over my bed posts for a burst of art as the first thing I see and feel every morning. It's true wearable art as the designer, Cortney Rhodes, hand paints each air-light scarf on luxurious silk, inspired by her travels and the beauty that's constantly around us.
