These hot pink Mara Hoffman pants can never let me down. Case in point: yesterday I had meticulously planned a full day of meetings and hangouts in LA. Coming from Irvine is no convenient road trip, so I make LA visits worthwhile. First stop of the day: Bottega Louie to meet old college friends. Parked. Took out my wallet. Wait. No wallet. Not in my bag, not in my car. Fuck. Realized that I left my wallet at home in my other bag I was contemplating on bringing. Found 30 cents in my car = approximately 6 minutes of parking in downtown. No money, no ID, no credit/debit cards. I can't even park anywhere! Had to forgo my meetings because of no photo ID for registration. Could the day go any more wrong? No. And luckily it didn't. After cruising around to find free parking next to Urth Cafe and chilling there for a couple hours, I had an amazingly fun time at Guise Archives (read about it here) and Quiksilver Mailbu store opening later in the night. My takeaway from the crazy day: no matter how wrong things go, nothing lifts your mood better than looking fabulous.
