Flew up for a too short of a weekend but made the most of it by indulging in the food I dearly miss. First stop was Bakesale Betty on Sat morning and the line was relatively short (score). Boo got the chicken with the carbs while I craved for the salad drenched in all the hot sauce I'd pour over it. I have yet to buy the ginger molasses cookie kit from Williams Sonoma but I doubt I can come close to recreating this heavenly treat. After a short suffer of food coma, we watched 21 Jump Street, which was really bromantically funny; I'd highly recommend for some good laughs. PLUS it is the movie where I discovered Dave Franco (James Franco's brother!) and he is cute. Saying that makes me feel like a cradle robber -__- (edit: he's 26 years old). Later that night, we dined at The House, my favorite restaurant in SF. You must try their deep fried salmon roll and the sea bass. Their sea bass is the best I've ever tasted, honestly. I can always count on having an amazing, casual meal here. The House is in the hustle and bustle of North Beach and it turned out to be St Patrick's Day, which I totally forgot about. We found ourselves in the middle of hoards of green beer drunkards.  After dinner, we left to Tenderloin to sneak into a not-so-secret "speakeasy," Bourbon & Branch. Their drinks are unique and extensive and the atmosphere is just perfect for an intimately buzzing end of the night with group of friends or with your boo (get their cucumber gimlet). Ended up making our way back to North Beach for some drunk feasting and found a crab pizza to stuff myself with. Needless to say, the gourmand in me was very satisfied that day.
